Karoliina began her violin studies at the age of 6 with her teacher Tereza Šmerling by using Suzuki Method. She is currently studying music in the 10th grade at the Old Town Educational College, under the guidance of teacher Kristina Kriit. Since 2020, she has been studying at the Youth Academy of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, under the guidance of prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. She has participated in various masterclasses, given by Michael Vaiman, Maxim Vengerov, among the others. Over the years, Karoliina has achieved numerous prizes in both national and international competitions. Some of the most important entries are these: 1st prize at the Estonian National Violin Competition "Best Young Instrumentalist" (2016); 3rd prize at the International JSFest Competition (2018, Finland); 3rd prize at the International Gnessin Strings Competition (2019, Russia); 2nd prize at the Rocky Mountain Strings Competition (2021, Canada); laureate diploma at the XII Estonian String Players Competition-Festival (2021); 2nd prize at the International Competition “Young Musician – Tallinn 2022”; 2nd prize at the XII Savshinsky Violin Competition (2022); 1st prize and grand prix at the Estonian National Violin Competition "Best Young Instrumentalist" (2022); laureate at the Tallinn Talent Music Competition (2022); laureate at the XIII Estonian String Players Competition-Festival (2023); 3rd prize at the International Josef Hassid Violin Competition (2023, Estonia).
