Mária Palkovics her first organ lessons took at the age of 7. From the beginning of her music studies, she has successfully entered many competitions – she won the 2nd prize in the National Organ Competition (2013) and at the National Harpsichord Competition (2020) in Hungary. Mária Palkovics was awarded with 1st prize and was announced as the absolute winner of the National Organ Competition (2019) in Hungary. She also attended masterclasses conducted by the organists David Titterington, Christoph Bossert, Olivier Latry and Martin Schmeding. She played in the Bach24 event at the Palace of Arts in Budapest. Mária has played solo and also has given chamber music performances at concert halls and churches in Hungary and Germany. Last year, she obtained her bachelor’s degree while studying in the organ class of Balázs Szabó at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. In 2023, Mária received the Henrik Krajcsirovits Scholarship for Young Artists in her hometown Tatabánya.
