Daniel Knut Pernet graduated from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, in the organ class of prof. Jaroslav Tůma. During 2016-2017, he also studied the organ under the guidance of prof. Franz Danksagmüller in Lübeck. After winning the Organum Regium Competition for Young Organists in Pardubice (2012), he became the laureate of the International Petr Eben Organ Competition in Opava (2016). Beside performances in Czech Republic, he has repeatedly given concerts in Germany, Sweden, Russia and other countries. He focuses on Baroque organ music, mainly on the works of German composers, as well as on the pieces by Petr Eben. However, his repertoire includes compositions by composers from the 14th to the 21st century, Daniel adds to it many of his own compositions too. Nowadays, he is working as a professional genealogist in Teplice.
