Emilija Joana Šoriūtė was born in 2007, in Klaipėda. At the age of 6, Emilija acquired the basics of piano in Vaiva Purlytė class at the Juozas Karos Music School in Klaipėda. From an early age she participated in various international and national competitions, among which she won 1st prizes at the: International Music Competition-Festival "Stars at Tenerife" (Spain, 2016), XI International Music Festival "Art-Duo" (Hungary, 2016), "Young Academy Award 2017" (Italy), II International W. A. Mozart Music Competition (Sakartvelo, 2017), International Competition for Young Artists "Citta Di Barletta" (Italy, 2018), "Piano-Ambitus 2019" (Lithuania). In 2017 and 2018, Emilija was awarded letters of appreciation for promoting the name of Klaipėda. In 2022, she continued her piano studies at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, studying with her teacher Vaida Kirvelytė. Since 2023, she has been developing her piano skills in the class of expert teacher Gabrielė Kondrotaitė. Surrounded by such musical environment, Emilija has been successfully expanding her repertoire and experience by continuing to participate in competitions, masterclasses and festivals.
