Tatiana Liberova was born in Riga and got her musical education in St. Petersburg. She has been teaching for fifty years and currently works at the Rimsky - Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. She has also been teaching for 25 years as a guest professor at the Conservatory in Lahti, Finland. Her professional experience includes collaboration with "Scuole di Musica di Fiesole" in Florence, and regularly giving "Sommermusik" masterclasses in Nagold (Germany), in Moscow, Hanty-Mansijsk, Kostamus (Russia), Vienna (Austria), Tallinn (Estonia), Malmö (Sweden), Vrotslav, Krakov (Poland), Florence, Lucca, Portogruaro (Italy), Altensteig (Germany), Murcia (Spain). She was invited as the chairman of the jury to the International Competition in Petrozavodsk, Russia. Also as a jury member to the G.F. Telemann Competition in Poznañ, L.Janáček Competition in Brno, N. A. Alexeev - Competition in Moskow, V. A. Gavrilin Competition in Vologda, Russia. Her students have won more than twenty International Violin Competitions: "Yehudi Menuhin Competition", "Spor Competition", "Wieniawski Competition", "Usti Nader Orlici" Competition, etc. They give concerts in the best Philharmonic halls of Europe and the USA. Also, they record for biggest recording companies like BIS (Sweden) and Deutsche Grammophon (Germany). Her student Ilya Gringolts won in Paganini Competition in 1998. As Ilya was only sixteen years old, he became the youngest winner in the Paganini Competition's history.
