Gerli Roost was born on the 30 March, in 2008. She has started violin studies at the age of seven in Sigrid Kuulmann's violin class at the Tallinn Music Highschool. In 2022, she has entered the EMTA Youth Academy, where she started studying with prof. Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. She has participated in several competitions, including the "Kaunas Sonorum" Competition (2019; Lithuania), the Competition-Festival of Estonian Young String Players (2021, 2023; Estonia) and the "Young Musician" Competition (2021; Estonia).
